I would suggest cultivating a bit of the French je ne sais quoi that balances elegance and ease. I want you to look like you. Do whatever you need to do to feel confident and beautiful and match the vibe you are going for.

As for hair... it's the same concept as the nails. If you want to get those roots done before your shoot, do it! Photoshop is there, but it's not a cure-all for hair you weren't happy with in the first place.
